Flora Defense 0.2.2 - Enemy update 2/2


New content

  • New ranged enemy; more range than vinespear but less than spitters
  • New large enemy; very strong, will target nearby walling flora

Changes

  • Replaced physical damage visual effect
  • Set all levels to have a specific number of waves, allowing the player to win. Endless mode will return in future
  • Time between enemy spawns of a wave is now calculated based on the size of the wave; larger waves will spawn enemies faster
  • expanded the info available on the end game screen
  • Improved path finding - Enemies will now also find targets within their range to attack that are near their path

Improved difficulty scaling

Previously the difficulty modifier simply doubled enemy spawns from map level 3 and above which was a terrible placeholder. Now it scales much more smoothly but is no less intense at higher levels:

  • Provides a % increase for enemy waves creation score (more enemies, stronger enemies arrive earlier.)
  • Increases the duration that enemy artifacts will remain active
